Welcome to Eastside

Bustling communities with an urban and suburban dynamic – Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, Sammamish, and Issaquah

The Eastside is a gorgeous collective of Seattle suburbs located on the east side of Lake Washington. The diverse communities across the bridge are thriving and growing, with an exciting array of places to eat, shop, and play. You’ll find that the area is both suburban and urban, with lots of green spaces to get active outdoors, vibrant storefronts, and city outings by day and night. Redmond is home to the Microsoft Headquarters, and the Eastside as a whole can expect over 40,000 jobs to be added over the next decade — many of them due to Amazon’s expansion. The homes are beautiful and vary in style, from Victorian to farmhouse to classic.

What to Love

  • Luxurious yet laid-back atmosphere
  • Family-friendly place to live
  • Proximity to tech industry
  • Parks and shopping opportunities

People & Lifestyle

Eastside residents are made up of families and young professionals who like being near the hustle and bustle of the city but enjoy being able to retreat to a less crowded lifestyle at home. The community enjoys a simplified (yet still exciting!) feel complete with opportunities for nature lovers and foodies alike.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

The food in the Eastside is one-of-a-kind, and with a diverse population comes diverse (and delicious!) international cuisine with a PNW twist. Have dinner at Cafe Juanita in a sleek dining room with a wonderful wilderness view; the chef uses all organic and sustainable products for their Italian fare. The Herbfarm has seasonal and thematic nine-course meals paired with local wine and is housed in a quaint, charming inn. Craving delicious, authentic South Indian fare? Head to Kathakali Indian Cuisine for traditional dishes with an urban twist. Get Wagyu beef and other incredible steaks at John Howie Steak, a high-end steakhouse and wine club.

Eastside is also perfect for shopping until you drop. There’s a growing downtown area with many other dining and shopping opportunities, like The Bellevue Collection and The Shops at The Bravern.

Things to Do

Take advantage of one of the best winery areas in the country as well as distilleries like Woodinville Whiskey. The Bellevue Arts Fair, hosted by the Bellevue Arts Museum, takes place over the course of four days in the summer and showcases hundreds of inspiring artists. Redmond Derby Days is a two-day summer carnival with rides, games, food and more. The biggest music and art festival is Kirkland Summerfest, which takes place on the stunning waterfront of Lake Washington every summer. Lunar New Year Celebration is a great event that takes place every year and celebrates an important day in Asian culture.
